Sally Broom - Tripbod.com

Sally Broom is the co-founder CEO of Tripbod.com, one of the original brands in the emerging local travel space. She has long been interested in disruption through entrepreneurship and is driven by an energy for connecting like-minded passionate people who believe ‘there has to be a better way to do this’.

Her goal with Tripbod.com is to empower local people to share their knowledge and passion directly with visitors in a completely original and commercially fair way. Tripbod has been operational for almost five years and the network now spans 80 countries, made up of ‘Tripbods’ who help like-minded travellers plan the perfect trip - from a truly local food experience to an offbeat adrenalin-packed adventure. They believe that everyone who loves where they live has the capacity to be an entrepreneur, by becoming a Tripbod and celebrating their local knowledge.
 
Sally has been honoured to be named a Future 100 entrepreneur and to sit on the Technology Strategy Board’s Entrepreneurship Working Group. One of her proudest achievements has been the establishment of the non-profit Fringe Travel Association; which hosts ‘fringe’ events during major global tourism conferences that support grass roots travel entrepreneurs to ‘meet, engage and inspire!’
